Glen Powell opened up about an awkward romantic scene with Perry Mattfeld.

The duo are starring opposite each other in the new Chad Powers season 2. In a recent interview with People Magazine, the actor revealed how the kiss scene in the series made him nervous: “I will just say that, because Perry and I are such good friends, I will say that is probably the most nervous I’ve been.”

He added, “Truly. I was like, ‘Oh, man.’”

However, Glen’s co-star Perry described the scene, saying that it was “also a very intense emotional moment.

“There’s a lot going on,” she added.

It is worth noting here that the character Russ Holliday is played by Glen, while Perry portrays the character of Ricky Huston.

Looking back at the emotional long-awaited kiss between Ricky and Russ, the actress said, “I think it’s a long time coming, but it’s also — there’s heartbreak in it too. I think that’s why it’s emotional.”

On the other hand, Glen revealed how season 2 is different from the previous one, saying, “Season 1 was such a big, wild swing that I think we hit a very, very small target, and it’s a show that’s really hard to pull off.”

“It was always ambitious, but I think on season 2, not only are we throwing more at this ensemble, comedically, emotionally — we’re really relying on the team as a superpower — but on the storytelling aspect [too],” Glen noted further.

It is pertinent to mention that Chad Power season 2 was released on September 3, 2026.
