Hayden Panettiere autopsy answers key questions about trauma
Hayden Panettiere's sudden death comes as a shock to many in the industry
Hayden Panettiere's sudden death has already sent shockwaves in the industry, with some speculating she may have been suffering from trauma.
However, now that the autopsy has been completed, officials from the Greenville County Coroner’s Office confirmed to Page Six that there were "no signs of trauma" seemingly involved in her death.
But the cause of death still requires additional testing, and nothing can currently be said for sure as further investigation is ongoing.
“No signs of trauma were discovered that would have contributed to the death,” the statement said.
It added, “This investigation remains active and ongoing. No further details are available for release at this time.”
Emergency responders dispatched to a South Carolina residence after a cardiac arrest and apparent overdose call was made on 911 on Aug 16.
There, the medics found Panettiere's unresponsive. The team immediately began life-saving measures, but to no avail.
Panettiere's father, Skip, announced her death, stating, “It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden."
“She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen."
"We ask for privacy as our family takes time to process this unimaginable loss," he achingly said.
