Lainey Wilson and Devlin "Duck" Hodges were probably the least stressed people on their wedding day.
On Sunday, May 17, Wilson attended the 2026 ACM Awards, where she spoke to PEOPLE magazine about her wedding to the former NFL quarterback Hodges, as they tied the knot on May 10, 2026, in a picturesque Tennessee waterfall ceremony and celebrated their honeymoon in Sedona and Las Vegas.
The 33-year-old American singer-songwriter and actress told the outlet, "Honestly, we were the ones that were a little less stressed.”
"Everybody else was worried about what they were going to wear to the wedding. We were like, 'You can wear your birthday suit. We don't give a damn,’” she said.
"We were the least stressed, probably,” Hodges, who accompanied her to the award show, emphasized.
Wilson added that their wedding ceremony was “perfect” as it “was everything that we could have imagined, to be honest. It was beautiful.”
The Hang Tight Honey songstress sang praises of her husband for keeping her balanced in life.
She quipped, "Honestly, I feel like that's the thing: getting me through it is having somebody to lean on and call home, and it's been nice.”
"I mean, he's my person. So, I'm so glad that we're getting to experience this together, because this is all I've ever dreamed about, and I'm glad that I got my guy with me to go along the journey,” Lainey Wilson admitted.
