Stella Parton, sister of the late Dolly Parton, opened up about her last wish after she was diagnosed with cancer.

For those unaware, the legendary American singer-songwriter and actress passed away after a “brief battle” with cancer at the age of 80 on August 25, 2026.

While paying a moving tribute to Dolly in a Facebook post, the 77-year-old American singer-songwriter revealed that her deceased sister was willing to use experimental drugs to help those suffering from cancer if there was “no hope” for her.

She wrote, “If anyone gets to heaven, I’m sure she made it right on time. What the world saw is exactly who she was, so much so. She told me recently that if there was no hope for her, she would still allow her medical team to try experimental drugs in the hope of helping others in the future.”

“My sister was always thinking of others and if you want to honor her legacy, show more kindness, lift others up and give more of your time and resources as she continued to do to the very end,” Stella concluded with a request.

It is pertinent to mention that Dolly Parton was admitted to a hospital for kidney and autoimmune issues shortly before her passing.
