The viral moment happened during the match, where Lakers defeated the Houston Rockets 98-78
NBA legend LeBron James has reacted to viral social media comparisons to NFL star Will Anderson Jr. on Friday, May 2, 2026 during the Lakers’ playoff victory over the Houston Rockets.
The interaction between James and Anderson Jr. occurred during the third quarter when the Los Angeles Lakers forward fell near the sideline after a hard foul. Will Anderson Jr who was seated of course, helped James to his feet.
During this interactive moment, LeBron James and Will Anderson shared a brief embrace, fuelling speculations on various social media platforms regarding their physical resemblance as the fans already believe that both two stars look alike.
In the post-victory interview, James humorously responded to all these social media posts talking about their sheer resemblance. He jokingly stated that Anderson is his "fourth child" and a twin to Bronny James that he and Savannah had kept "under wraps."
"The moment was pretty cool. Yeah, I just said, it was good to see him. That’s my fourth child. Yeah, he and Bronny are twins and nobody knows it. Me and Savannah have been trying to keep it under wraps for a long time," LeBron James said.
James immediately clarified that he was joking and “no disrespect to his parents.” He also praised Anderson as an “unbelievable football player.”
Contrary to James, Anderson said he did not think that he has the supposed likeness to James’ eldest son, Bronny.
"Yes, I don’t think I look like him though," said Will Anderson Jr., Houston Texans edge rusher.
Despite Anderson's skepticism, social media users and fans continue to highlight similarities in their facial features and hairstyles.
