Noah Wyle gushes over 30-year bond with George Clooney: 'Real touchstone'
The duo first met on the set of medical drama, 'ER,' more than 30 years ago
Noah Wyle is gushing over his three-decade-long friendship with George Clooney.
During a recent chat with People, the 54-year-old actor recalled his first-ever meeting with the Jay Kelly star and reflected on how their bond has changed over time.
“It's catching up when we can, but always from the point where we last left each other,” Wyle told the outlet at the 2026 AARP Movies for Grownups Awards on Saturday, January 10.
The Pitt star went on to say, “Those bonds that were forged during that show are so lovely and intimate that I feel like we don't have to be totally present in each other's lives to be able to have a context for each other's lives.”
Praising George, he further added, “But he's been a real touchstone figure in my life and one who seems to pop up with great regularity at the right moments.”
“So I'm honored to be here to share this one tonight," Noah remarked.
It is pertinent to mention that Noah took the stage during the award show to present George with the Best Actor accolade for his role in the film Jay Kelly.
George returned the honor by presenting Noah with the best actor award in the TV category for The Pitt.
