Scarlett Johansson in final discussion to join DC movie
Scarlett Johansson may move from Marvel to DC
Scarlett Johansson is reportedly in talks to be casted in Robert Pattinson's second Batman movie.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the Marvel star is in "final negotiations to join The Batman Part II."
The next Batman movie will pick up after events in the 2022 film directed by Matt Reeves, starring Pattinson as Bruce. However, Variety also reported that Zoe Kravitz, who starred as Catwoman in the DC film, is not expected to return for the sequel.
While famously known for starring as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Johansson is no stranger to comic book movies. The Oscar-winning actress has played the role for 11 years. She last played the role in Black Widow.
Now, this move will mark the actress' move from Marvel to DC.
Further details about The Batman Part II, potentially starring Scarlett Johansson alongside Robert Pattinson, has not been revealed.
But, Warner Bros. announced previously that the filming for part two will begin in spring 2026. Moreover, the film is set to hit theaters on October 1, 2027 more than five years after the release of The Batman.
