Prince Harry faces tension with Meghan Markle over holiday plans
Prince Harry wants Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to meet King Charles but Meghan Markle is reluctant
Prince Harry is hoping to spend part of the holidays in the UK to reconnect with King Charles, but the plan has reportedly sparked tension with Meghan Markle.
After seeing his cancer-stricken father only once in almost two years, the Duke of Sussex wants to focus on rebuilding their relationship next year.
However, the Duchess of Sussex is said to have no desire to return to UK and feels anxious even discussing the idea.
An insider revealed that Meghan would rather stay at their home in Montecito, while Harry wishes she would come with him so their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, can see their grandfather.
The source revealed that Harry doesn’t want to travel with the kids alone and the disagreement over his UK plans has created stress between him and Meghan.
“Right now, it’s so painfully apparent that they’re on totally separate pages when it comes to this predicament,” they said.
“The way things stand right now he’s on standby to pack his bags and take off at a moment’s notice, totally by himself, which is obviously far from ideal.
“This is supposed to be such a happy time of year but sadly for Meghan and Harry there is a lot of discord happening so it’s hard to imagine that it will be a very fun holiday season.”
