Xolo Mariduena, the Cobra Kai breakout and DC’s Blue Beetle hero, is about to conquer the Grand Line: he’s officially locked in as Portgas D. Ace for Netflix’s One Piece season 3.

The actor will be starring as Portgas D. Ace, the fan-favourite older brother of Monkey D. Luffy, famous for his fiery powers and tragic storyline.
He’s an American actor who is widely recognized for his iconic roles in Cobra Kai and DC’s Blue Beetle.
Xolo is of Mexican, Cuban, and Ecuadorian descent.
Netflix announced the season 3 renewal for its live-action at the One Piece Day event in Tokyo in August this year .
Meanwhile, the production for season 3 is expected to begin later this year in Cape Town, South Africa.
Xolo debuted his acting career as a child star, first coming to light for his role as Victor Graham in NBC’s Parenthood.
The upcoming season is anticipated to adapt the fan-favorite Albasta arc, presenting Cobra Kai actor Xolo Mariduena as Portgas D. Ace, while Season 2 is set to premiere on March 10, 2026, and season 3 is believed to arrive in 2027.
