Prince Harry sends personal message to King Charles after Andrew verdict
Prince Harry’s feelings laid bare as King Charles decides Andrew’s ‘punishment’
Prince Harry appears to be in the safe zone King Charles finally puts his foot down for an important move for the sake of the royal family’s reputation and the monarchy.
The Duke of Sussex and his father had finally taken a major step towards a reconciliation in September but hiccups suggested that it caused some discord between the Palace and Harry. However, it seems that the King and his younger son continue to be at peace.
Following the announcement on Thursday about Andrew losing his ‘prince’ title and Royal Lodge, Harry extended his support for his father’s stern decision, according to royal correspondent Matt Wilkinson.
According to a report by The Sun on Sunday, Harry “may have been in touch in recent days” and he “supports Charles ending Andrew’s allowance”.
There had been speculation about what the future would for the Duke of Sussex and the titles of his two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
While there have been some grievances about Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, badmouthing the royal family and the Firm, there is a stark difference between Andrew and his nephew Harry.
According to royal experts, it is unlikely that the King would make a move that would paint him as “vindictive” especially when he wants to promote message of peace and solidarity in his reign. Culture expert Nick Ede, suggest that should Charles decide to strip Harry’s titles, it could potentially “backfire”.
