Prince Harry, who is set to return to the UK for his Invictus Games in 2027, is seemingly making great progress amid his ongoing peace deal with King Charles.
The Duke of Sussex had reportedly approved the royal guest list and the wordings of the invites as they are set to be mailed to Buckingham Palace. Founded in 2014 by Harry, the sporting event supports ex-army veterans were injured or had gotten sick during their service.
It provides support and gives an opportunity for the veterans to feel a sense of self with the games. The 2027 games are to be held in Birmingham.
While there is no official news about whether the King or any of the royal members will be attending, the Invictus Games made a surprising announcement about the follow-up event.
“Who will host the 2029?!” the official social media page shared a list of cities where the next games are anticipated to take place. “In our role as the Governing Body, we are continuing our review of each bid before selecting the nominees for the Short List later in the year. #iamhere”
Last month, Harry and Charles’s top aides had met in London for a summit as sources revealed that the monarch is as eager to reconcile with his son as he is.
Recently, the king was seen at the Mey Highland Games in Caithness, which also supports Harry’s mission.
Mey Games, which are annually held in August, have para-athletes and armed forces compete alongside local teams in an Invictus-style competition. The King’s attendance was proof that he still supports the message and also indicate a possible greenlight to personally attend the Invictus Games next year.
