Ellen Pompeo reveals harsh reality of Hollywood casting process
Ellen Pompeo has been ruling the TV screens for long and is now making headlines for bombshell revelations about the insides of Hollywood.
While promoting new Hulu series Good American Family, the Grey's Anatomy star revealed multiple aspects of working on the long-running ABC medical drama.
Eric Dane's costar had particularly touched upon pay disparity she had to face starring opposite Patrick Demsey, and how she had to fight against it.
Recently, the 55-year-old talked about the casting of actresses of age in a recent interview with El País.
Commenting about the casting process, the American actress said that older actresses are hired for their 'talent alone'.
The Catch Me If You Can alum elaborated that young actresses in Hollywood are hired for beauty, but when they age, talent alone speaks.
She further mentioned that with age complexity comes in personality, same happens with the roles.
For the unversed, the Art Heist star also expressed unwillingness to exit the medical show as it would 'make no sense, emotionally or financially' to walk away from something she had worked hard on for about 20 years and let others to make money from it.
