Dua Lipa marks fifth anniversary of ‘Future Nostalgia’ with ‘Physical’ remix release
Dua Lipa turned up the heat with the release of the Physical remix featuring Troye Sivan.
Celebrating the fifth anniversary of her second album Future Nostalgia, the Levitating singer officially dropped the new version after a fan leaked it on X (formerly Twitter) at Lipa’s demand.
The new verse sung by the Australian YouTube-famed musician was featured on the Friday, March 29 released track.
"We’re verging on the edge of spiritual / You’re deeper than you thought, it’s a miracle / Don’t you agree? / Can you evеn believe? / Baby, I can lovе you all night / If you ask me to—, I might / Babe, get a taste of the moment / Stay up ’til the early morning, yeah/ My final fantasy," Sivan, 29, serenaded his part, which was not in the old version.
Before the song's YouTube debut, Lipa, rumoured to be engaged to the Masters of the Air star Callum Turner, marked the milestone anniversary of her album on her Instagram.
"5 YEARS OF FUTURE NOSTALGIA ~ doesn't even feel real!!!! Thank you for the memories that I have to last me a lifetime ~ keeping me dancing all around the world," she wrote alongside a carousel of pictures and videos of performances and behind-the-scenes.
Expressing how grateful she is to witness the moment, the One Kiss singer added, "To celebrate this massive milestone in my life i'm sharing a version of Physical that @troyesivan and I worked on together years ago and it always felt like it needed an occasion and this feels like it's the perfect time."
