Chad Michael Murray reflects on 'full circle' moment with Lindsay Lohan

Chad Michael Murray and Lindsay Lohan go way back.
The duo, who first starred together in 2003's Freaky Friday, recently wrapped filming its sequel, Freakier Friday, which hits theaters on August 8, 2025. The One Tree Hill star opened up to People magazine about how meaningful it’s been to reconnect after two decades.
“The opportunity to see someone that, gosh — even though we’ve been in and out each other’s lives, we’ve still known each other 20-something years, right?” Murray shared.
“And to watch growth, and to see her with her little boy, and to meet her husband and just to share those experiences now that we’re grown adults, it’s really special. There’s something very full circle about all these moments.”
The nostalgic reunion has the Gilmore Girls alum thinking about what’s next for their partnership. “If we had the opportunity [to work together again], it’d be great,” he said, even suggesting a holiday film where their families could join them on set.
Both stars are currently celebrating the release of their Netflix Christmas movies — Murray’s The Merry Gentlemen and Lohan’s Our Little Secret — which dropped just a week apart this November.
“What a trip,” Murray said, marvelling at how their careers seem to be aligning.
