WhatsApp has introduced an exciting new feature
WhatsApp has introduced an exciting new feature that includes interactive animated emojis utilising the Lottie library, WABetaInfo reported.
The new feature in Meta's instant messaging app is currently available in the beta testing phase and is only accessible to a select few who have updated the application.
According to WABetaInfo, users may download the Android 2.24.15.15 update from the Google Play Store to access this feature.
This new addition to your WhatsApp promises an elevated messaging experience, enabling users to enjoy a more vibrant and expressive communication style.
The animated emojis, crafted with the Lottie framework, boast high quality while maintaining optimal performance, ensuring a delightful user experience.
It is also worth noting that not all of the emojis on the app will have the animated option but only a few will be supported by animation. When used during messaging, only the emoji that has an animated version will appear as such when sent including the two laughing emojis and the red heart emoji.
To see which emojis have the animated effect and if the user has the feature in their app, they will have to send the emoji while chatting.
The emojis without the animated version will remain in their usual form when used. However, WhatsApp developers will probably add more animated emojis in the future using the Lottie library for the design.
