Apple is organising a dedicated iPad event for the first time, which is known as “Let Loose” and will be held on May 7.
The event is likely to focus on iPad Pro and iPad Air along with revealing the really ignored Apple Pencil, an update to a Magic Keyboard case and also the M4 chip.
Acknowledging that iPad requires its own moment to dazzle, Apple decided to dedicate a separate event to the company’s one of the star gadgets.
It might also have been grown out of a sense of fear, considering that Microsoft is also holding an event on May 20, which is ahead of its annual Build conference.
During this event, Washington-based tech giant is expected to launch upcoming Surface hardware which is powered by Qualcomm’s new ARM chips and changes to Windows that are focused on AI.
Moreover, just days prior to the highly-anticipated iPad hardware event, it was no coincidence that Apple’s Q2 2024 earnings showed that iPad revenue fell by 17% year-over-year. This tells that Apple needs to give a fresh rework to its iPad and increase its range just like the iPhone.
