With rising inflation around the world, these major tourist attractions have also decided to hike their fees.
Meanwhile, the countries charging tourist taxes include Bali, Indonesia, where tourists have to pay $10 per person upon arrival, Trexpose reported.
In Iceland, tourists have to pay an accommodation tax for every night they stay in the country, this includes cruise ship passengers too.
Italy's Venice has become the first city to charge a day tax, while tourists visiting Amsterdam in the Netherlands will have to pay an increased tourist tax.
The tourist tax in Paris, France, has been more than doubled in light of the summer Olympics that will be held in the country.
Tourists travelling to the United Kingdom — which comprises England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland — will have to pay for a travel authorisation cost per person.
