After four seasons of navigating love, activism, and life in Los Angeles, the beloved freeform series Good Trouble came to a bittersweet end.

The series finale, titled Moving On Up, delivered a heartwarming conclusion that offered both closure and a glimpse into the characters' bright futures.

Fans were left on tenterhooks after a dramatic season finale cliffhanger involving a cult, a car chase, and a shocking shooting.

Thankfully, the new episode provided some relief. Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) bravely intervened in a physical altercation between Joaquin (Josh Peck) and the cult leader, Silas (Matt Hamilton). While the situation escalated, Jenna (Erin Moriarty) arrived just in time to subdue Silas, sending him to jail and ending the cult's hold on Joaquin.

The episode focused heavily on the Coterie residents, the family at the heart of the show. A central theme was the idea of moving forward. Callie (Maia Mitchell) received positive news about her legal career, while Jude (Micah Stock) grappled with a major life decision. Fortunately, a heartwarming family dinner brought everyone together, allowing them to celebrate their journey and share their hopes for the future.

Joaquin, still shaken from his experience with the cult, remained single but found solace in sharing his story through impactful articles. Meanwhile, Mariana, inspired by her brush with danger, decided to pursue a career path that would allow her to make a positive social impact.

While some storylines were wrapped up, the ending left the door open for future possibilities. The characters' dreams and aspirations hinted at exciting new chapters to come, even if they wouldn't be unfolding on screen for viewers anymore.

Good Trouble executive producer Joanna Johnson addressed the show's cancellation in a recent interview, expressing disappointment but acknowledging the show's lasting impact.

She assured fans that the series finale would provide a satisfying conclusion while leaving them with a sense of optimism for the Coterie residents' futures. Based on the positive fan reactions, it seems "Good Trouble" delivered a finale that lived up to its heartwarming reputation.
