Elon Musk and Bill Gates have been declared two of the world's richest men, however, there is one royal family whose representatives surpass the wealth of the two business tycoons.

Forbes believes that Gates, the founder of Microsoft who is now a philanthropist, is worth $119.6 billion (£93 billion), whereas Musk, the inventor of Tesla and owner of X, is currently worth $251.3 billion (£191 billion).

The House of Saud, the governing royal family of Saudi Arabia, is worth $1.4 trillion (£1.1 trillion), which is four times the combined net worth of Elon Musk and Bill Gates, two of the world's richest men.

One of the wealthiest and most powerful families in the world is the Saud family. The future of the Arabian Peninsula and the global energy landscape have been significantly impacted by the House of Saud, whose estimated net worth is $1.4 trillion (£1.1 trillion).

Muhammad bin Saud, the 18th-century founder of the Emirate of Diriyah, often known as the First Saudi state, is descended from him and is represented in the Saudi Royal family.

Although there are more than 15,000 members of this family, about 2000 of them hold the majority of the fortune. The descendants of Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman, the modern founder of Saudi Arabia, are the lineage of the family's dominant branch.

As of now, the head of the family is King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who has been ruling his nation since 2015.

His most well-known son and presumed successor is Mohammed bin Salman. As Saudi Arabia's prime minister at the moment, the Crown Prince, often known as MBS, is commonly recognised as the nation's de facto ruler.
