How David and Victoria Beckham named their children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, Harper
David and Victoria Beckham are among most admired celebrity couples globally
David and Victoria welcomed their first child, Brooklyn, into the world just a few months before they got married. Romeo joined their family a few years later, and soon after that, little brother Cruz joined them. Harper, their daughter, was welcomed into the family in 2011.
Everything you need to know about Victoria and David Beckham's kids is as follows.
Brooklyn Joseph Beckham, 24
On March 4, 1999, Brooklyn Joseph Beckham, David and Victoria's first child, was born in Portland Hospital in London. The couple loved the name, which made sense when Victoria mentioned that she found out she was pregnant while in New York City. Elton John was later named as Brooklyn's godfather by his parents.
Romeo James Beckham, 21
Romeo James Beckham, David and Victoria's second child, was born on September 1, 2002. The young kid was born at Portland Hospital in London, just like his older brother. David revealed after Romeo was born that they went with the name because "it's just a name we love." The baby already had "Victoria's chin and Brooklyn's nose," he added.
Cruz David Beckham, 18
On February 20, 2005, David and Victoria celebrated the birth of their son Cruz David Beckham in Madrid's Hospital Ruber Internacional. David revealed after Cruz's birth that the young child was "very happy" and "beautiful" to have his two older brothers around him. Though David acknowledged that naming him was "hard this time," the couple managed to come up with a name they both liked and "stuck to it."
Harper Seven Beckham, 12
Harper Seven Beckham was welcomed by Victoria and David at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles on July 10, 2011. David subsequently disclosed that the pair cherished Harper's traditional English name and its association with Harper Lee, the author of "To Kill a Mockingbird". He mentioned that the name Seven was unique as well, signifying spiritual perfection.
