Taylor Swift cancelled her show, and Travis Kelce said that he and she stayed at their hotel the whole evening to avoid giving the impression that they "didn't care" about her fans.

Swift sang, "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me," in reference to the NFL player who was away from home during the team's bye week.

Kelce and Scott Swift, Swift's father, watched the performance from the VIP tent. Social media videos included Kelce devouring food, dancing, and flashing Swift's signature heart hand gesture.

Taylor Swift has only cancelled four live performances in the 17 years since her incredible climb to popularity, and those dates were back in 2011, when the celebrity's doctors urged her not to perform because she was suffering from bronchitis.

Throughout her record-breaking Eras Tour this year, Taylor often performed through thunderstorms, demonstrating her unwavering will to keep her fans happy.

She even changed the scheduling of a concert to accommodate inclement weather. Taylor postponed her performance until it was safe to go on stage, arriving on stage at 10pm during one of her Nashville gigs in May after officials issued a shelter-in-place warning due to the heavy rain.

But when a storm was predicted for last Friday, Taylor was forced to postpone her gig in Buenos Aires. Locals were alerted of the storm's potential for lightning, gusts of up to 40 mph, and up to 2 inches of rain, making the performance risky.

As a consequence, Taylor decided to reschedule the performance for Sunday and gave an explanation for the adjustment on her Instagram story at the time.

She wrote, "I love a rain show, but I'm never going to put my fans, fellow performers, or crew in danger." The weather is so erratic that it would be risky to try to hold the concert tonight, therefore we've moved the Buenos Aires gig until Sunday. I get to stay in Argentina longer, which is good news!

Although Taylor's first performance in two months had been last Thursday, Travis didn't arrive until Friday since he had to attend his buddy and teammate Patrick Mahomes's gala event the day before.

Additionally, Travis has disclosed that Taylor was aware that some fans would associate her choice to postpone the event with his presence. She also noted the steps they took to demonstrate her seriousness about the matter.
