Evan Bouchard led Edmonton with two goals and an assist, while Zach Hyman added a goal and an assist
Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid extended his point streak to a career-high 19 games as the Oilers defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 4-1 on Monday night at United Center.
McDavid recorded two assists in the win and now has 19 goals and 25 assists during the streak. The run ties Wayne Gretzky’s 1986–87 mark for the seventh-longest point streak in Oilers franchise history.
Evan Bouchard led Edmonton with two goals and an assist, while Zach Hyman added a goal and an assist.
Leon Draisaitl also scored, and goaltender Connor Ingram made 29 saves as the Oilers improved to 23-16-7.
Tyler Bertuzzi scored the lone goal for Chicago, while Spencer Knight stopped 33 shots in his return after missing two games due to illness.
The Blackhawks fell to 19-20-7 and were without forward Connor Bedard, who missed the game because of illness after recently returning from an upper-body injury.
Hyman opened the scoring late in the first period, redirecting a pass from Bouchard set up by McDavid.
Bouchard doubled the lead early in the second period by banking the puck in from behind the net.
Bertuzzi pulled Chicago within one midway through the third period, but Bouchard sealed the win with an empty-net goal before Draisaitl added another seconds later.
Chicago forward Teuvo Teravainen did not return after the first period, with no immediate update on his status.
