'All of them should be killed': US professor draws fire for anti-Palestinian racism
Over 11,000 Palestinians, of which at least 4,500 are children, have been killed as Israel continues to bomb Gaza
American professor John Strauss, who is a faculty member at the University of Southern California, drew fire from netizens for his anti-Palestinian hate speech amid the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza, one of the deadliest in history.
With Tel Aviv keeping up the aggression in the besieged enclave for over a month into the conflict, over 11,000 Palestinians — of which at least 4,500 are children — have been killed and thousands of others injured.
"Every one of them should be killed, and I hope they all are," Strauss was caught on camera saying this, apparently in response to a question about the situation in Gaza or as a remark on pro-Palestinian students at the varsity.
This expression of hatred for the war-struck Palestinians went viral on social media, which is currently the biggest forum for pro-Palestine awareness and protest campaigns.
Palestinian writer and poet Mohammed el-Kurd also shared the video on his Instagram Stories.
"I received this video from USC students. The level of anti-Palestinian racism on US campuses is abhorrent. Shame on @uscedu," he wrote.
The video was also posted by an American-based organisation "fighting zionism and zionist hate" on the microblogging site X, questioning the university about the hate expressed by one of its teachers.
"@USC does this Professor represent your institution’s values? Has he been reprimanded in any way? Your students and all Americans who are against hate demand an answer," Stop Zionist Hate wrote.
With hundreds of Palestinians dying every day and no respite in Israeli atrocities in Gaza, the Muslim, and Arab leaders are scrambling to put Tel Aviv's war on Palestine to an end.
Currently, Saudi Arabia is currently hosting an extraordinary joint Islamic-Arab summit in Riyadh with the participation of Arab and Muslim countries leaders to discuss the war in Gaza.
Several leaders have spoken at the summit, calling for a permanent solution to the conflict and ending the deadly war. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman called for an immediate cessation of Israel's military operations in Gaza and the release of all captives and prisoners.
