KARACHI: Governor Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan Wednesday announced that a Cyclotron Unit is being provided to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) within six months for treatment of cancer patients.
After provision of this equipment, this institution will become the first state-of-the-art cancer treatment center of its kind in Pakistan.
This he said during his visit to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) along with Provincial Health Minister Dr Mehtab Hussain Dahar.
Commissioner Karachi Asif Haider Shah, Executive Director JPMC Prof Dr Anis Bhatti, Dr Seemin Jamali, Dr Jawaid Jamali, Prof Tariq Mehmood and other senior faculty members were present.
The governor said that the doctors of this hospital have served the people of Pakistan in difficult times. He said this is why most people have confidence in the healthcare facilities available in the institution.
He said various development programs are being carried out in the healthcare, adding the role of Patient AID Foundation is appreciable in providing healthcare facilities to poor patients.
He said public confidence in institutions is the key for success of hospitals like the JPMC.
