CHITRAL: A local hunter, Hamad Muhammad Baig, successfully hunted a 9-year-old Himalayan ibex in Terich in Upper Chitral.
To obtain the hunting permit for this rare animal, Hamad placed a bid of $554, securing the opportunity through a competitive auction process.
Officials said the initiative was part of a larger plan by the KP Wildlife and Biodiversity Board, which had decided to issue permits for trophy hunting of 31 ibexes.
