HANGU: The district administration of Hangu has issued a formal decision resolving a 14-month-long dispute between the village councils of Tog Sarai and Khattak Banda over the ownership and access rights of a road.

According to the official decision, the shortcut road from Tog Sarai to Karpa has been declared public and government property, falling under the jurisdiction of the district council. The ruling grants all citizens, including residents of Khattak Banda, full legal rights to use the road without any obstruction.

The administration warned that any individual or group found blocking the road or restricting access would face legal action.

Elders of Khattak Banda welcomed the decision, expressing relief and gratitude. They said the route had been closed to them for the past three months and called on the people of Tog Sarai to accept the ruling in the spirit of mutual understanding.

However, former nazim of Tog Sarai, Farmanullah, criticized the decision, claiming that the administration had ruled under external pressure.
