KARACHI: The Sindh High Court has adjourned hearing until 16 February in the plea of bail by the arrested AKD Securities directors and CEO.

Justice Abdul Rasool Memon on Friday heard the bail plea and during the hearing accused Farid Alam’s counsel, Shahab Sarki, presented his arguments. The court, while adjourning the hearing, called for the arguments by other defence counsel at the next date of hearing.

Earlier, Tariq, Iqbal and Farid Alam, through their counsels, submitted in the bail application that there is an EOBI scandal case against them at the FIA in which they have been nominated to save the real accused.

They submitted that the research report had been compiled by four other companies as well, but “action was taken only against us”. It may be mentioned here that the Federal Anti-Corruption Court has already rejected the bail application of the accused.
