Mobile veterinary dispensaries staff training

LAHORE

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in collaboration with Livestock and Dairy Development Punjab (L&DD) organised two-day training for the capacity building of Mobile Veterinary Dispensaries (L&DD) staff here on Wednesday.

According to a press release issued here, Secretary Livestock & Dairy Development Punjab Nasim Sadiq chaired the inaugural session of the training while Livestock Additional Secretary (ADMN) Ashiq Hussain Dogar and a large number of District livestock officer, veterinary officers, veterinary assistants, artificial insemination technician and drivers participated. The objectives of the training was to train them about their field works especially in the rural areas while providing all veterinary services at the doorsteps of the farmers.

Speaking on the occasion, Nasim Sadiq said that the support staff had played a major role in the development of Livestock sector. He said that the development of livestock sector was priority of the government as livestock sector was the key to revival of the crisis-hit agriculture sector. He lauded the UVAS for playing a leading role in the development of livestock and related sectors. He also thanked to UVAS for providing a platform for learning and capacity building of mobile veterinary dispensaries (L&DD) Staff. 

Ashiq Hussain Dogar also spoke on the occasion and said such training would bring competency in their professionals work. He also delivered a lecture on (SOP) for mobile veterinary dispensary, preparation of vehicle before departure and staff field works.
