Prep your skin:Who says parenting can’t be pretty?

The first thing to do is to wash your face with a mild face wash and then apply a moisturiser. The key to a healthy skin is to keep it hydrated and moisturised. So don’t forget to moisturise your skin before going to bed as well.

The basics:

Because the weather is too hot, go for a lightweight liquid base/foundation. If you don’t want to opt for a base then you can go for BB cream. If you have clear skin you can also just apply face powder and you are good to go. Foundation or face powder helps even out skin tone and disguises spots and imperfections.

Pretty eyes:

A little concealer goes a long way. Use it under your eyes to brighten your face. What many women tend to ignore is their eyebrows. So always remember to use an eyebrow pencil or brow powder to define your eyebrows. It gives your eyebrows shape and helps you look more put together. For your eyes, apply lots of mascara if it is day time. You can add some drama at night by applying winged eyeliner, kajal and mascara or you can go for a smokey eye.

Let’s makeup:

It’s time to add some colour to your face. For working moms, it is better not to go for glossy makeup. The weather is way too hot and the glossy makeup will become very greasy. In terms of makeup, keep it light - use a bronzer and lip gloss and you are all set to go. If you are a lipstick person then use earthy tones or peaches for day time. At night you can opt for a bright lip colour like red and fuchsia pink. For blush-ons, opt for a peach or pink hue and blend it from the centre moving back to the cheekbones.

Tress talk:

Managing your hair is the most difficult part. The major mistake that moms usually make is that they usually tie their hair in a bun which results in hair with split ends. So the first thing to do is get a haircut according to your hair texture. When you have a good and manageable haircut then you can style it in various ways. You can go for high ponies in this scorching weather. You can make two thin braids on one side and tie both the braids in a high pony. Or you can do a braid and tie it up in a bun. These styles look very chic and are perfect for summers.
