Working children
April 03, 2018
Child labour in Pakistan will continue to exist unless the authorities concerned ensure that anyone who employs an underage employee is brought to book. Every day, on my way to college, I see tens of children working under the hot sun. While some can be seen selling flowers at different signals, others go to factory at the crack of dawn.
At the age when they should be playing cricket in parks, they are dealing with the burden of feeding a family. This is the responsibility of the government to ensure that children of all ages have access to basic facilities including food, shelter and clothes.
