DUBAI: It appeared that the Bhutto-Zardari family was trying to move over past disagreements and mend fences as photos of a family reunion in Dubai surfaced on social media on Tuesday.
Rifts between the father and son have been widely reported in the Pakistan media, but the Pakistan People's Party denies any differences between former President Asif Ali Zardari and party chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the young scion one of Pakistan's most powerful political families.
Photos tweeted by PPP leader Senator Saeed Ghani early Tuesday showed the smiling faces of sister Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari and aunt Faryal Talpur posing for selfies with the young PPP chairman.
"Nice to see Chairman @BBhuttoZardari @BakhtawarBZ & @FaryalTalpurPk together in Dubai," said the PPP senator in the tweet, which was retweeted by Bakhtawar to her 0.5 million followers.
