Rawalpindi
Independence Day was celebrated at the Roots Girls College, Harley Street, with full zeal and zest. The main objective of the event was to inculcate patriotism and moral values in students.
The Roots School System (RSS) celebrates national days to rejoice and celebrate the fruits of freedom and progress of the country. The interesting and vibrant event spanned over the whole day, during which Pakistan flag was hoisted, colourful banners /buntings had been prepared, pictures and posters of great leaders of Pakistan were displayed.
Students also held cultural dress show including national and regional dresses. The national and regional songs completely changed the ambience of the overall event held in all branches. Students were carrying Pakistani flag and painted their faces with green and white paints. All girls were wearing white shalwar kameez and enjoying in full swing. The banners were prepared on which it was written ‘We love our country Pakistan’, ‘Pakistan is our homeland’, ‘Unity, Faith and Discipline’ & ‘Pakistan our Pride – Pakistan our Identity.’
It was the day to remember the hardships, which faced by our ancestors. The main objective of celebrating this day was to inculcate the affection towards our country.
