Principal, daughter booked for detaining student

JHELUM: The Pind Dadan Khan police have registered a case against the principal of a girls’ college and her daughter for detaining a student in her office for two days.

 

Sadia Khan, a student of Government Girls Degree College, Pind Dadan Khan went missing two days ago. On Thursday, her father with his relatives reached the office of Principal Haroon Khan and found the girl there.

 

Sadia alleged that Principal Raheela Chandni had been forcing her to involve in immoral activities. She said that the principal had tortured her during her confinement. Later, people staged a demonstration at Main Chowk and demanded a case against the principal. They also appealed to the chief minister to sack the principal.

 

SP Investigations Syed Haseeb Shah reached the place and held talks with the protesters. Later on the complaint of Sadia Khan, a case has been registered against Principal Raheela Chandni and her daughter Anam under sections 342 and 34 of the PPC. When contacted, the principal was not available for comments.

 

Missing girl found dead

JHELUM: Two bodies were found in two incidents here on Thursday. Body of three-year old girl Moon Shehzadi was found dead near a stagnant water pool at Chotala. She had been missing for two days. In the second incident, the dead body of 19-year old Shehbaz Ahmed was found near a bus terminal at Jhelum Cantt. The youth was an addict.

 

OPEN COURT: Jhelum DPO Tayyab Hafeez Cheema held an open court at his office. Speaking at the open court, DPO Tayyab Hafeez asked all police officers to hold open courts in their areas. The DPO listened to people at the open court.
