SADDA: The resettlement of tribespeople displaced due to the sectarian conflict in Kurram Agency some 32 years ago is in progress, an official said on Tuesday.
Talking to reporters, Kurram Agency’s Political Agent Amjad Ali Khan said a number of families were displaced from Sadda due to sectarian conflict.
He said the political administration started resettlement of these families under the Murree Agreement that the Sunni and Shia elders had made many years ago.
He said that displaced families from Shalozan Tangi and Nari Shalozan had returned to their homes and now the tribespeople hailing from Sadda were coming back and resettling.
He expressed the hope that families displaced from Parachinar would also return to their homes soon.
