ISLAMABAD: The nation will observe one-minute silence on September 6 from 9:29am to 9:30am to pay homage to the martyrs of the 1965 War.
This was decided by the committee set up by the prime minister headed by Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif to plan the ceremonies and chalk out programmes on the completion of 50 years of the 1965 War between Pakistan and India. On this occasion, the nation would also express the 1965 War-like determination and resolve to defend the country against any future aggression and adventurism. During this one-minute silence, all traffic and communication means in the country would cease to move.
Later, from 9:30 to 9:32am, the national anthem will be aired on all radio and TV channels and special Dua will be offered for the martyrs of the 1965 War.
