FC foils sabotage attempt in Dera Bugti

QUETTA: The Frontier Corps (FC) foiled a sabotage attempt and defused 5kg landmines in Peerkoh area of Dera Bugti on Monday. According to FC spokesman, acting on a tip-off, the FC personnel, along with bomb disposal squad team, reached the site and defused 5kg landmines, which were planted near an under-construction road by unknown men. Detonators and detonator cards were also recovered from the same area. “Unknown suspects had planted the landmines for destroying the under construction road the company’s personnel in the area,” the FC spokesman said. The FC personnel later cordoned off the entire area and started efforts to trace out the culprits.
