ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister's Adviser on National Security, Moeed Yusuf has said the chapter of lending airbases to United States is shut now. In a Geo News programme, Jirga, Moeed Yusuf said the issue of airbases did not come up for discussion during a recent meeting of both countries’ national security advisers. "The US neither asked for bases nor talked about using our airspace."
Asked a few times by the interviewer if the US has stopped asking for the airbases or have they demanded the provision but were refused by Pakistan, the NSA said why would someone ask for something knowing it wouldn’t be offered. The programme will be aired tonight.
