Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi hat-trick record beaten by new player
Al Nassr, Inter Miami players no longer lead hat-trick record
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have been beaten in another record by Erling Haaland.
Haaland has returned strongly for his fans. With a first-half hat-trick against Wolves, the Manchester City star put everyone on notice following a run of poor performances, according to Essentially Sports.
Even though he scored two of his three goals from penalty kicks, the player won't give it much thought as he celebrates his accomplishment. Haaland now has 21 career hat-tricks after the onslaught against Wolves.
For comparison, the hat-trick ratios of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are 18.5 and 18.7 goals per game, respectively. With a hat-trick in every 13.9 games, Erling Haaland has put himself well ahead of the two legends in the meantime.
Since joining Manchester City in the summer of last year, the striker has been on fire.
For the reigning Premier League champions, Haaland has six hat-tricks to his credit, three of which came in the first half. When he returns to the field for the second half, the player will try to increase the total.
