Sindh Excise dept collects Rs59.8bln

KARACHI: Sindh Excise Department has collected Rs59.776 billion in various taxes during the current financial year (July 2019 to March 2020) against Rs54.673 billion collected during the same period last year.
Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla in a statement on Friday said that Rs5.2 billion were collected in terms of Motor Vehicle Tax, Rs47.920 billion in Infrastructure Cess and Rs481.574 million were received in Professional Tax. The provincial minister said that Rs202.285 million were collected in terms of Cotton Fee, Rs1.819 billion in Property Tax while Rs58.630 million were collected as Entertainment Duty.
