KARACHI: Pakistan’s former spin wizard Mushtaq Ahmed has requested cricketers and others to donate generously to Prime Minister’s Covid-19 Pandemic Relief Fund. Prime Minister Imran Khan has set up the fund to fight various crises created by the pandemic coronavirus.
“Allah loves people and nations that help others so I would request players and people to donate to Imran Khan’s fund. I can tell that Imran Khan is an honest person,” Mushtaq said in a video he posted on Twitter.
He praised Imran for donating all his money he received from World Series in 1989 and World Cup 1992 for the cancer hospital that he built in Lahore. Mushtaq said it was the time for all people to come together and help each other. He also requested political parties not to consider this grave situation as an opportunity to score points against their opponents.
