KARACHI: Softball Federation of Pakistan (SFP) secretary Asif Azeem has congratulated Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) president Arif Hasan for being re-elected as vice president (South Asia) of Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).
“The re-election of Arif Hasan is not only an achievement for Arif but it is an achievement for all the country,” Asif said.
Arif Hasan has been elected for the post for the third time. “The re-election of Arif Hasan for the successive third time is something we all should be proud of,” Asif added.
He praised Arif for helping players to get to the top level.
“We all hope that Arif will continue to support players and help federations promote their respective sports,” Asif said and added that Arif played an instrumental role in helping softball players of Pakistan feature in international events.
“It was Arif Hasan who helped us meet former International Softball Federation President Don Porter and current President Dale McMann and Secretary Low Beng Choo.
“That helped us very much in promoting the game of softball in Pakistan as the international officials of the game extended a helping hand to us,” he said.
