Solidarity expressed with Kashmiris fighting for freedom
Islamabad: The government will continue raising voice for people of the Indian-occupied Kashmir at all world forums, said Parliamentary Secretary for National History and Literary Heritage Division and member of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Ghazala Saifi on Tuesday.
She was speaking in a special programme titled 'Izhar-e-Yakjehti Kashmir' on the Pakistan Academy of Letters premises here as the chief guest. The event was meant to express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren in connection with the Kashmir Day and draw the attention of the international community, particularly scholars and writers, towards the gross human rights violation and humanitarian crisis in Indian-held Kashmir.
It was presided over by Dr. Ehsan Akbar fallowed by Mushaira of Pakistani languages on Kashmir. The chief guests were Ali Akber Abbas and Ali Ahmad Qamer. Eminent poets paid tribute to Kashmiris in various Pakistani languages.
PAL chairman Muhammad Salman was also present on the occasion and he thanked the participants. The proceeding was conducted by Shumaima Uffaq. Ghazala Saifi said that today is 184th days people of Kashmir were facing curfew and complete communication blocked. She said that people are also facing shortage of food and medicines. She said that despite all these atrocities the spirit of Kashmiris is still high and will not avoid any sacrifice for their freedom.
The parliamentary secretary said Kashmir dispute is prominently highlighted by the government. She said that European Parliament has recently debated on Kashmir and expressed concerns over the human rights violations in the Occupied Kashmir. She said that Modi criminal face was exposed in all over the world.
She said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is proving to be the best ambassador of Kashmir’s. after the implementation of the curfew in Kashmir Indian Army is using ballot on Kashmir’s. Dr Ehsan Akbar said that writers have to highlight the Kashmir issue. The Modi government has seen politics through the lens of hatred. India has broken the Shimla pact by ending Kashmir's special status. The Muslim Ummah and the international community should take notice of human right violation India occupied Kashmir.
"The conspiracy of the British and Hindu rulers led to the handover of Kashmir to India. Kashmir is our backbone. We cannot tolerate the brutality of Indian soldiers on innocent citizens of Kashmir. Particularly, writers, poets and intellectuals have a dual responsibility to play a role in the unity of Kashmir," he said.
He said that people of Pakistan have the same stance on the rights of the people of Kashmiri people and they support the continuous struggle of the Kashmir. He said that all the political parties of Pakistan, the whole nation and writers support the rights of the people of Kashmir. The establishment of the Pakistan movement considers it incomplete until the Kashmiri people gain their right to self-determination.
Mohammed Salman Chairman Academic of Letters said that the entire nation is the voice of the Kashmiris in which our country's writers and intellectual is on the top and they will continue to raise their voices in favor of Kashmiris.
