Perpetrators of PIC to be punished as per law: Raja Basharat

LAHORE: Law Minister Raja Basharat on Thursday told the Punjab Assembly that Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had formulated two separate committees to probe PIC matter. He said the committees consisted of four members each and the committees made an advisory list for the government to act upon in the context of the incident.
The minister said that the reason for the local police’s ineptitude on the day was also being probed and the officers who displayed criminal negligence on the day have been identified.
Basharat revealed that a report on the matter has been submitted. He said all those identified as assailants will meet swift and just punishment.
