Lily Collins marks quiet milestone as 14-month-old daughter Tove grows fast

Lily Collins has shared a recent tender moment as a first-time mother since welcoming daughter, Tove Jane McDowell, with husband, Charlie McDowell.

Taking to Instagram Stories, the Emily in Paris star posted snaps of her 14-month-old daughter sitting in a high chair as Collins styled her hair into a tiny ponytail for the first time. 

“This melts me,” the actress captioned the moment alongside another emotional post.

Tove was born via surrogate on January 31, 2025. Since welcoming their daughter, the couple have occasionally shared insider looks at their journey into parenthood but mostly keeping her life private.

The latest update comes after several family milestones, including their first Christmas together and Tove’s recent first birthday celebration.

Collins has previously spoken about how motherhood has transformed her. “You have expanded my world, broadened my horizons, and widened my smile more than I knew was possible," Collins said on last Mother's Day, marking her first as a mom herself. 

"And to think, it’s only the beginning. I couldn’t be more grateful or honored to be your mum," she continued in a social media post, refrencing her daughter. The couple also publicly thanked their surrogate at the time of Tove’s birth.
