Chaudhry Rehmat Ali was the originator of the Pakistan nomenclature, the Pakistan movement and a separate homeland for Indian Muslims in 1933. But he doesn't seem to get much importance.
Reportedly, he came here after 1947 but for some reason he went back to England. He died in England as a pauper and is buried there. His funeral expenses were paid by a British professor which were paid back later by someone close to Chaudhry Rehmat Ali. Will some historian please throw some light on the actual circumstances which led to tragic end of Chaudhry Rehmat Ali?
