FBISE develops new paper checking scheme
Islamabad: As the annual examinations of the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC), 2018, are under way, the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has developed a new scheme to ensure fair and consistent paper checking.
The scheme is meant for the marking of the parts or elements of each question of the exam paper, an official told ‘The News’. He said the marking scheme had been developed after consultation to address the issues of differentiation.
FBISE Chairman Dr Ikram Ali Malik chaired a meeting of subject experts in his office to finalise the marking scheme in the subject of Economics. The meeting was attended by head examiners Professor Khumar Gul of the Islamabad College for Boys and Professor Asad Akram of the FG Liaqat Ali Degree College, Rawalpindi, sub-examiners Professor Arshad Ali of the Islamabad Model Postgraduate College, H-8 and Professor Israr Shah and Professor Tahir Mahmood, controller of examinations M Aleem Qureshi and deputy controller of examinations Shafaq. They discussed the draft marking scheme threadbare.
