ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Tuesday expressed reservations over the efforts being made to send former prime minister Nawaz Sharif abroad and vowed to foil any such attempt.This assertion came at a meeting of the PTI chaired by its chief Imran Khan here. The meeting noted that PM Abbasi’s statement against Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani was exceedingly improper and in negation to his status as chief executive of Pakistan. It emphasised that the PM was bound to accord due respect to the constitutional institutions and their slots.
The PTI leadership aired concern over the PM’s statement of having dialogue with the state institutions. and asserted that the accountability process should be completed with equal treatment to all without discrimination. “There should be equal treatment to Nawaz with regard to accountability and he must be treated just like any corrupt person,” the meeting emphasised.
