Stuck in traffic
March 13, 2018
This refers to the letter ‘Divisions that run deep’ (Mar 11) by Syed Muzzamil Hussain. The writer has given an apt description of the traffic crisis that is created on the Islamabad Expressway on a daily basis. Travelling on the expressway to southern areas of Islamabad, people always find themselves stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic congestion.
The situation takes the worst turn during peak hours. The need of the hour is to construct flyovers at places where the lanes become narrow. In this way, people will have alternative routes to take. This will also provide the people with a relief from the agony of traffic jams.
