Jinnah Team Badminton from 29th
KARACHI: All is set to hold All Sindh Jinnah Team Badminton Championship here from December29. “As many as 12 teams are slated to compete in the Championship to be held at Pakistan Sports Board Karachi’’s Centre” said the organizer Monday. The president of Sindh Badminton Association Tariq Rizvi and Chairman Aftab Ladhoi told media persons that 3-day event is part of paying tributes to father of the nation Qaim-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his 141st birth anniversary. They were of the view that by holding Championship it will help promote the game not in Karachi but in interior of Sindh as well.
They pointed out the championship may also provide job opportunities to the talented players in various departments. The final of the championship will be held on December 31, they said.Prominent teams included Karachi Port Trust, K-Electric, Essay Laborities, Medicam, PTCL, Master Motors, State Bank of Pakistan, WAPDA, SSP police East, Bohara Community and ISH have assured their participations.
