Dustin Hoffman recently opened up about his love for piano both on and off screen.
In his latest interview with PEOPLE magazine, Hoffman talked about his connection to the piano, as well as musicianship.
Reflecting his role as Harry Horowitz in Tuner, a crime thriller film released in 2025, the 88-year-old American actor and filmmaker admitted that playing a seasoned figure in the world of piano tuning was a great opportunity that helped him fulfil his lifelong personal passion.
The Midnight Cowboy star, who has been playing the instrument since an early age, told the outlet that he “can't look at a piano without doing something.”
Hoffman went on to confess, “If there's a piano around, yes. Particularly if there's one where people congregate, I like to show off.”
In Turner, Horowitz, “a talented piano tuner's meticulous skills for tuning pianos lead him to discover an unexpected aptitude for cracking safes, turning his life upside down,” according to IMDb.
